The world lost a beloved mother, Sarah Anne Albright (Farr), at age 68, on September 21st, 2023. Sarah fought the courageous fight with cancer for the last three years, but never stopped her from living her life. Sarah passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Collier Hospice Center.
Sarah was born on June 7th 1955 in Minnesota, daughter to Ann and Raymond Farr; married later to her ex-husband Terry Albright and later settled in Colorado where they raised her four children. Sarah retired as a Court Clerk from the Town of Mountain View in 2020. Sarah additionally worked and lived in the town of Granby as a Deputy Clerk and Assistant Planning Coordinator for nearly 10 years, keeping records with the county.
Sarah is survived by 4 children of her own, 3 children by marriage, 6 grandchildren, a brother in Minnesota, and sister in Kansas. In heaven, Sarah meets her father Raymond N. Farr, her brother Rodney Farr, and her beloved dog Shelby.
Besides spending time with her family and friends. Sarah was always known to be a spunky, fun-loving person, who loved sewing, sipping her coffee while watching football games, and playing fantasy football with the help of her son and grandson. She loved to attend Christmas shows and enjoyed her trips from a girls weekend with her daughters to family visits in Minnesota. During her years in Granby, she often sat upon the deck drinking her coffee with her dog Shelby looking out at the water. No matter what Sarah did, she did it with passion and love, always engaging in robust conversations with her loved ones, friends, neighbors, and strangers she saw in a grocery store.
Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
- Tamsen Butler
Sarah was loved by all and will be missed by many. A celebration of life to honor her will be held in April 2024.
