Born July 15, 1952, to Warren and Evelyn Teetor, Cathy Ann Teetor Scovill lived her young life in Michigan. She graduated from Beaverton High School and attended Central Michigan University for two years before getting married and becoming a military spouse, living in multiple places state-side and a very enjoyable stint in Germany. Daughter, Sister, Friend, Mother, College Graduate, Quilter, and Cat Owner were among the roles she was most proud of – however, nothing topped being a Grandma!
She passed away from health complications on October 21, 2023, and is now resting in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She joins her parents Warren and Evelyn as well as her sister Beverly Knezew Hibbard. Cathy left behind a loving family who misses her dearly. She is survived by her brother Dale Teetor (Marcia Teetor), her devoted and loving daughter Theresa Wilson, her son-in-law Paul Wilson, and her beloved grandchildren, Charis, James, and Elizabeth Wilson. She is also survived by her former husband, Thomas Scovill (Cate Summer). Cathy will be missed every day.
In November 2019 Cathy moved from Florida to Colorado to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. The last four years of her life, she was surrounded by her loving family. These were the happiest years of her life – being close to her “grands” afforded her many opportunities for adventures, outings, sleepovers, and thrill inducing hugs from each of her loving grandchildren.
Theresa and her family thank everyone for their kind words, prayers, and actions. There will be a memorial service held for Cathy in the future. Plans will be communicated once in place. For now, please continue to lift her daughter and family up in prayer.
Above all else, remember to thank God for the forgiveness of Jesus that Cathy accepted and guarantees her residence with Him for all of eternity.
