Obituary of Marcellus Leon Eddie

Marcellus (Marc) Leon Eddie passed away on September 23rd, 2023, at the age of 52 in Loveland, CO. He was survived by his wife Heather and his two precious daughters, Faith, ten years old and Serenity five years old as well as his good friend Dominic Ruminer and best friend and brother-in-law, Ryan Burks.

Marc was born on May 20th, 1971, in St. Joseph Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Eddie. He was survived by his father Lawrence and Patricia Eddie, special father Urel Horton, his twin sisters  Senna and Sanna Eddie and his brother Ryan Eddie along with his God sister and lifetime best friend Eursla “Coy” Moore-Doyle. Marc also leaves behind his cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Marcellus pursued his education attending Lake Michigan Catholic High School in St. Joseph, MI and subsequently embarking on an educational journey that led him to Tennessee State University. He later made his way to Colorado, where he furthered his knowledge and passion in the automotive industry, graduating with an associate degree from Westwood College Denver North.

It was during his college years that he met the love of his life Heather Burks. They were married in Broomfield Colorado on February 12th, 2016, and were blessed with their two beautiful daughters, Faith, and Serenity.

Marc’s professional life was a testament to his adaptability and dedication. He ventured into various roles within the Information Technology sector. His impact extended beyond his career; he was a devoted coach and dedicated much of his time and energy to nurturing young talents in a variety of youth team sports leagues. His coaching journey included enriching experiences with the Colorado Rapids Soccer, City of Northglenn Jr. Nuggets basketball, Brighton Bulldogs football, and Erie Elite 8th-grade football teams.

Marc’s passion for coaching found its roots in his deep connection and shared love for sports with his brother-in-law, Ryan. The bond they had was instrumental in shaping his coaching journey. It was through this shared passion that he was able to guide and mentor young athletes, leaving an amazing impact on their lives. In addition to his coaching endeavors, Marc also had a love for photography and music. Whether it was breathtaking landscapes or the candid smiles of his loved ones, he had a unique talent for capturing the essence of life through his photography.

Marc’s love for his family and friends illuminated the lives of those around him. He stood by his loved ones through thick and thin, a true friend in times of need, and a pillar of strength. It was these qualities that endeared him too so many. He was not just an amazing family man and passionate coach; he was a beacon of love, dedication, and unwavering loyalty, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
