Obituary of James Dennis Rademacher

Loving husband, father and friend to all, James Dennis (Denny) Rademacher, 82, reunited in love with Barbara Rademacher on September 12, 2023.   Denny passed at home, which was his wish, in Englewood, Colorado.  A “Celebration of Life” will occur on November 4 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Wyatt’s, located at the Broken Tee Golf Course, Englewood, CO.

Denny was born on 03/05/1941.  He grew up and attended Englewood schools his whole life. He graduated from Englewood H.S. in 1959.  He met the love of his life, Barbara, at Englewood Junior High School..  They dated in high school and married on December 3, 1960.  They have four children: William (Gina), Daniel (Eileen), Dana (Jonella) and Rebecca.

Denny worked for Colorado Central Power and Public Service (now Xcel Energy).  He retired in 1998 after 37 years of service.  He had the innate ability as a supervisor to gather his employees at all hours of the day to take care of so many in need of energy during extreme heat and cold.  He frequently handled additional jobs to provide support for his family.

He and Barbara also joined the Englewood Volunteer Fire Department in September 1972 as well as being active members of the Englewood Elks for many years.  After Barbara passed, he was surrounded by his children and eight grandchildren and was actively involved in all of their lives.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents:  Dick Rademacher and Forest Helen Johnson Rademacher, love of his life, Barbara Rademacher and a sister, Merilyn Handley,   He is survived by his children, eight grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Molly, Emma, Graham, Ryan, Erin, and Connor, four great grandchildren, Bo, RaeLynn, Naomi and Cameron, brothers,  Charles Rademacher D.O., and Sonny Rademacher.

Denny surrounded himself with many groups of friends, motorcycle buddies, high school friends who will miss him at their weekly breakfast, former volunteer firemen, public service/excel coworkers and his friends.  Please plan to celebrate his life with family.   In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Englewood Public Schools, Energy Outreach Colorado or a charity of your choice.
