Obituary of James Plunkett
James Plunkett
It is with great sorrow that we announce James transitioned to the afterlife with his family and friends by his side after suffering injuries sustained in a car accident July 10, 2023.
James was a fighter and fought a long battle for his life at Denver Health Medical Center but eventually the internal damages were more than his body could heal from and his spirit left this earth on August 18, 2023.
James was a hard- working man, a Master Plumber who overcame many odds in his life to become an entrepreneur and successful business owner of Top Notch Plumbing. For over 40 years, he was an innovative creative craftsman in everything that he did.
James travelled the streets of Denver in his job with his beloved dog Sky. He was an energetic tenacious go-getter and was always “doing something”. James was generous to his community and those less fortunate than himself, and was in-route to serving his community when the accident occurred. He was a Dog lover and a devoted owner of many German Shepherds throughout his life.
He had a bright personality he was a Caring, Loving and Giving person. He was also outspoken and fought for what he believed in. He was charismatic and jovial which is what made him such a likable guy, in turn he had many friends from all different walks of life. James had many lifelong friends, neighbors and clients that he engaged with regularly. His presence is greatly missed at this tragic time and his community and friends have shown an outpouring of support for his family.
James cherished his five grandchildren, Chloe (11), Kaiden (11), Anne (11), Samantha (9), and Ashton (1), the pleasure of being “Papa James” was the greatest blessing from his 4 children. He enjoyed playing, riding bikes, hiking, rafting, canoeing and going to special events with them whenever he got the opportunity. His presence and legacy is desperately missed, especially by his grandson Kaiden. “Papa James” was a special influence and a beloved enthusiast.
James is survived by his loving spouse Catherine, his four children, Jamie, Ciera, Joshua and Ashley. As well as his adoring sisters Ella, Becky and Mary.
Numerous other relatives and friends.
And his beloved dog SKY.
His presence and legacy will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community.
Celebration of life to be held later this year.
