CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF DAVE SALEM-FOBER

9/30/1974 - 8/9/2023

Dear Family and Friends, after recent surgery to treat PAD/DVT, David succumbed to complications from the disease.

We are comforted that he is no longer in pain and is at peace.

David lived life on his own terms and enjoyed every minute of it. His family and friends were his treasures and he considered himself a very wealthy man! Thank you to all for filling his life with love.

David was loved by so many people and his death has left a huge hole in our hearts. If you would like to share in celebrating the free-spirited life of this truly exceptional person please join us and share your stories of times with Dave or just raise a toast to celebrate his life. Our world will be a much less colorful place without him.

David had a tattoo of this prayer on his arm. His grandpa’s name was Francis so he always had an affinity to St. Francis. He even named his beloved dog Francis.

Prayer of Saint Francis Lyrics

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;

to be understood, as to understand;

to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen
