Obituary of Terry Breder
Born in Waverly MO. June 15, 1947 - Passed August 6, 2023, in Wheat Ridge, CO
“Lord Jesus, you came to this earth to bear our griefs and carry our sorrows. We are grieved by many things – most often by the changes in this world and by the loss of the people and things we hold dear. Remind us that you are our greatest treasure, our dearest friend, and our faithful savior. Amen.”
He was preceded by death by his parents Oscar and Dorothy Breder and brother Dennis Breder. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Thyra Breder, his 2 daughters Tamara Jones (Charles) Tonya Allen (Troy) 5 grandchildren Jakob Jones, Joshua Jones, Grace Allen, Anthony Allen, Ashley Smith and 4 great-grandchildren. He had 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
Terry resided most of his life in Arvada CO. He was an avid car enthusiast, as he rebuilt a 1965 Impala in his retired years as well as attended many car shows with his “High School Sweetheart” right by his side (after purchasing the car chassis over 40 years ago). When he was dreaming of doing that, he worked for a couple engineering firms throughout his working years. He contributed to the engineering of the Eisenhower Tunnel. Terry and Thyra had many adventures together until they decided to settle and spend their winters in Green Valley Arizona. He was a loving husband and father.
He will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery in a private ceremony.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking to make donations to the American Cancer Society:
