Obituary of Maureen Morris

Maureen Morris 

Maureen Morris, 81 years of age, went home to be with the Lord Saturday July 1^st, 2023, at Saint Anthony Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on October 19^th, 1941, in Glasgow Scotland to the late John and Margaret McCartney. Maureen was the oldest sibling, survived by her younger brother William McCartney.

Maureen was educated in Glasgow, primary and secondary schools, in 1957 she attended night school at Stow College of Hairdressing, and later received her license in cosmetology.  Maureen continued with her profession as a very talented hair stylist. Maureen married the late Lewis Morris in 1962 and four children were born from this union. The family moved to Israel in 1973, then onto London in 1977 and then ten years later immigrated to Colorado. Maureen retired from her hairdressing career in 2003.

Maureen’s passions were Art, drawing, painting, fashion, shopping and loved spending time with family. She was a loving and caring person, always thinking of others. “To know her was to love her”.

Maureen leaves to cherish her loving memory children, Sharon Connoley, Martin Morris, Paul Morris and Tracey Jones; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother William McCartney, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on August 3^rd, 2023, at 3:00 pm. Location: Brave Church, 3800 East Hampden Ave, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113.
