Obituary of Eleen Renee Fistell Ryan
In Loving Memory of Eleen Renee Fistell Ryan
January 29, 1956 – June 4, 2023
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eleen Ryan. She departed this world on June 4, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.
Born on January 29, 1956, Eleen was a shining light and a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her presence graced our lives with boundless joy, kindness, and unwavering compassion. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend—a pillar of strength for her family and a guiding star to those fortunate enough to cross her path.
She was always excited to see her friends and family. Being an entrepreneur and either working for herself or her family business, she was always there to support you in any aspect of your life. From buying the best baby shower gifts, to accompanying friends to scary dentist appointments, she was happy to help and went above and beyond for her friends, family and community constantly. As a successful business owner of her Green Chile brand, she had a very large community and family in her business’ following. That is a legacy that her family will continue to keep active in her honor. Eleen loved seeing live music, local bands, eating great food, reading and the arts, nature and gardening, traveling to the Pacific Northwest and of course, giving gifts and serving people her very popular burritos and Green Chile.
Eleen possessed an unparalleled zest and drive. She approached every challenge with resilience and unwavering determination, always reminding us to persevere and never lose hope. Her energy, warm smile, infectious laughter, and gentle words of encouragement brought solace to those in need, providing comfort and reassurance during difficult times.
Eleen's departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will forever serve as a reminder to embrace each day with motivation, and gratitude, to love unconditionally, and to cherish the precious moments we share with our loved ones.
She is survived by her Husband, William; Daughter, Leah; Son, Matthew; Brothers, Howard and Mark; Sisters, Charlene and Darlene, in addition to her nieces, nephews, their children, and her many close and loving friends. During this difficult time, may we find peace in our collective memories, and may the love and support of family and friends provide us with strength as we navigate this journey of grief.
A celebration of Eleen's life will be held later this summer at the Farmer’s Market that she was a part of for more than a decade. We invite all those whose lives were touched by her to join us in honoring her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in memory of Eleen Ryan's compassionate spirit and her dedication to helping others.
We will forever carry Eleen's love within us, and her beautiful spirit will continue to guide us through life's challenges. Though we mourn her loss deeply, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, watching over us from above.
Rest in eternal peace. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We Love You.
