OBITUARY

MIKE POMEROY

JUNE 25, 1953 – MAY 19, 2023

Michael Alan Pomeroy passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 19, 2023, surrounded by the love of his kids Tami and Chris, and with his wife Linda, and daughter-in-law, Mandy, by his side holding his hand. He was 69.

Pop/Dad/Mike/Mikey/Uncle Mike/Little Brother, rarely lost his Mike Pomeroy sense of humor, wit, or charm that we all loved about him as he battled through various health challenges over the past few years ultimately succumbing to liver cancer. With the unwavering and dedicated love and support from his wife Linda each day, he fought until the very end.

Mike was born on June 25, 1953, in Wheatridge, Colorado, to Arthur and Dolly Pomeroy. He was the youngest of three children, including his older sister and brother, Pat and Ronnie. Mike met the love of his life, Linda, at the age of 17 in Golden, Colorado. Mike and Linda would marry in 1972. They welcomed their first child Chris, later that year, and their second child Tami, 13 months later. Mike and Linda celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary, still in Golden, only a week before he passed.

Mike loved being a husband, dad, grandpa, father-in-law, uncle, little brother, and friend. He found joy in spending time with his family (including his beloved wiener dogs), telling jokes, being a practical joker, singing, doing his yard work, eating (especially sweets) and, on occasion, sneaking a cigarette. He worked at the Sears Roebuck and Co. warehouse and Denver Eye Center Optical for most of his working career. Friends, co-workers, and customers all liked Mike.

Mike is survived by wife Linda (Golden), his son Chris (Idaho), his daughter Tami (Arvada); granddaughter Kylie (Windsor); and sister Pat (Grand Lake). He was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Dolly, brother Ronnie and nephew Jeff.

Thank you for the joy and happiness you brought into all our lives, Pop/Dad/Mike. You will forever be in our hearts and minds, and you will forever be missed.

We love you…
