Obituary of Christopher William Sailor
Christopher William Sailor found peace and happiness on March 23rd, 2023, and is now with God and his Angels. He was born on March 9th, 1974, and was a loving son to Tom and Mary Sailor, dear brother to Barbara (Dave) Bennett, Elizbeth (Kevin) Dobson, Jim (Polly) Sailor, Rebecca (Declan) Murtaugh, Jeff Sailor, Tony (Shelly) Havel, and buddy to faithful cat Frankie.
Upon graduating from Middleton High School in 1993, Chris left Wisconsin to move to Colorado where he was able to pursue his passions of skiing, hiking, fishing, camping, and living with nature. He was a man of many talents and skills. He was a master at using his hands and artistic skills to create amazing works of art that included many types of woodworking projects, gem/rock cutting creations that were one-of-a-kind, and beautiful stained-glass pieces. His love for music included bluegrass and classic rock. During his time in Colorado, he also became an avid frisbee golfer, fly fisherman, poker player, and master craftsman.
Chris was fiercely loyal to his friends and family and made a huge impact on everyone he knew. He was generous beyond bounds, never expecting a thing in return. His smile was infectious, and his signature giggle would light up a room and make everyone around him smile. He was one of the most down-to-earth humans we knew and his passion for things he loved to do was priceless.
Chris was preceded in death by his biological father, Martin Havel, and his brother, Jeffrey Havel. There will be no funeral service, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) (https://www.nami.org/Home) or the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) (https://www.dbsalliance.org/).
