Rose M. Mendez 

 

Rose (Bertha) Mendez passed away on February 10, 2023, at the age of 80.

She was born on July 1, 1942, in Trinidad, Colorado to Epifanio and Emma Gonzales.  Bertha was preceded in death by her daughter, Antionette, sisters Dolores and Vera; and brothers Jerry, Ralph, and Dave.  She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Ray, who cared for her until the end. She is also survived by her children Audrey, Manuel (Anna), and Anthony (Veronica); sisters Sally, Gloria (Vladimir), Mary; numerous relatives and her grandchildren/great grandchildren which she adored.  Bertha loved gambling at the Wild Bill Saloon in Blackhawk where she could be herself.

In honor of Bertha’s wishes, there will be no services, however, a family gathering to celebrate her life will be scheduled at a later date.  Please share your love and memories of Bertha with the family on the tribute wall.
