Obituary of Jonathan Robert Shuzen Bailey

Jonathan R. Bailey

Jonathan Robert Shuzen Bailey, 45 years of age, passed away on February 21, 2023 at 2pm.

He was the widower of Jenny Roberts. They shared many years of partnership together.

Born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, he was the son of Robert and Hitomi Bailey.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and worked at Wells Fargo Home Equity Center as a mortgage consultant, loan officer, and underwriter for more than 15 years. He was a member of the Wells Fargo Softball league.

He enjoyed playing pool, paintball, shooting, fishing, camping, watching movies, going on cruises, being surrounded by family and friends; and not to mention, good food and sushi.

He will be remembered for being one of the youngest entrepreneurs in his high school. He opened his first comic book store in Columbia Mall called Jon’s Comics & Cards at the age of 14. He was a comical character who enjoyed cooking, gaming, and fixing cars. He was blessed with the ability to make friends wherever he went. His genuine care and support for others was evident through helping raise his niece Amyya and nephew Derek.

He is survived by his sisters, Cindy and Melissa; brother-in-law, Dave; nephew and niece, Derek and Amyya; father and step-mother, Robert and Veronica; and step-brother, Yves. His legacy lives on through his children, Bree and Katelyn, and grandchildren, Keanu and Kai, dog, Hiro. The memorial service will be held on March 7, 2023 at 2pm-3pm at Fellowship of the Rockies (1625 S 8th Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80905).
