Betty Shoblo

Obituary of Betty Jean Shoblo

Our precious Betty Jean Shoblo made Heaven more beautiful on February 6, 2023. She was born to Moises and Sophie Cerda in Gardner, Colorado on November 7, 1946.

Betty was sincerely a sweet, gentle, kind hearted soul who always showed compassion toward others and was truly grateful for the simplest of pleasures. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed being in the mountains, road trips with her sisters, searching for treasures with her metal detector and was always in awe of the beauty of the scenery on her Cripple Creek outings. She loved the fall season, overcast snowy days, yellow flowers and daily correspondence with her family. Our Betty, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt will be missed more than words can express and will live in our hearts forever.

Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Towomi “Jim” Shoblo, daughter Lisa (Kevin) Holbrook, son James (Toni) Shoblo, grandson Mason Shoblo, sisters Barbara (Amos) Vialpando, Nancy (Jim) Callaway, Lorri Igoe (Chris Pulskamp), nieces Shanie Krause, Sophia Igoe (Jared Kain) and Emma Igoe.

Betty is proceeded in passing by her parents Moises and Sophie Cerda, grandson Dominic Shoblo and nephews Billy Watson and Stacy Slay.

Betty’s loving nature blessed lives. Even during the most difficult of times she bared her cross gracefully without complaint and always prayed for others. In honor of Betty, let’s pass kindness forward.
