Obituary of Kenneth Hoehner

Kenneth Karl Hoehner, 90, died on December 04, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born November 29, 1932, in Athol Kansas, the son of Karl D. Hoehner and Frieda (May) Hoehner.

Kenneth graduated from Oberlin High School, Class of 1951. He married his high school sweetheart, Mona (Euhus), on March 23, 1952. They lived a short time in Kansas, while he attended a diesel mechanic school. After graduating from the vocational tech school, they settled in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Kenneth was a very active energetic man. He belonged to several clubs and organizations: Young Republicans, T-Bird Club, Board Member for Harris Park, and the Retail Clerk’s Association. He also became a residential “DYI Building Contractor” along with his wife and partner who built and remodeling several homes. He was known as a dedicated loving husband and father. He was always positive, loyal, hardworking and made time for his family and friends. We will miss his “Ever Present Smile”.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Leroy Hoehner and his sister Edith Kierstead. Surviving in addition to his wife, Mona Hoehner, are his two sons Kevin Hoehner and his wife Karen residing in Mississippi; Cary Hoehner who resides in Kansas; daughter Marla Moffitt and her husband Mark residing in Colorado; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
