Maggie was a wonderful member to the Arvada Police family. I enjoyed working with her. I must say, in humor, Maggie had a led foot. When driving into work, Maggie would waive and smile while she sped past me. I was driving the speed limit, but not Maggie--she always beat me to work and commented on how slow I drove. By the way, Maggie was at least thirty years older than me. I pray you find love and humor in memories of beautiful Maggie. My deepest sympathies, Kathy Foos Nuanes Arvada Cmdr. (retired)

I started working at Arvada PD in May 1979, and Maggie had started in January. So I had the absolute pleasure of working with her for most of her entire career there. While she spent most of her time in the detective bureau, it was impossible for anyone working anywhere in the PD not to know her and benefit from her experience. She was always willing to help anyone with their problems and do whatever she could to help them out. And she always did it with a smile and made you feel better when she was done. She was truly a remarkable lady and I'm honored to be able to say that I knew her. She will be greatly missed by "generations" of Arvada PD employees.

Maggie and I had a special connection as soon as Maggie joined the PD. I was in the academy and Maggie started work in records. She saw my name and asked her co-workers about me and they said well he wasn’t around much as he was attending the academy. The next time I needed to come by PD records when I walked in the room someone told Maggie, “there is Pat Claar.” When I heard this I asked what was going on and Maggie stood up and told me she and my mother were good friends growing up Maggie stood up with my Mom when she married my Dad. Maggie said when her co-worker pointed me out she immediately noticed the resemblance to my Dad. We shared that special connection and almost every time I saw Maggie she wanted to know how I was doing and any updates with my Mom. When my Mom was visiting Colorado she and Maggie did have lunch together once or twice.
Maggie was always so nice to me and made me feel like I had a second Mom at the PD. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I served in the Detective Bureau at Arvada for many years and for most of my time there, Maggie was there, and was a rock we could always depend on. Can you find that report? Is that trail still on the docket? Your reports are already done! She was so dependable and supportive! My partner and I work complex cases involving child victims. Maggie was always there if we just needed to talk a minute. She was a wonderful team member!

I worked with Maggie at Arvada PD. She was always a pleasure to work with and whenever the officers needed help with reports or finding things that were of essential importance to assist them with the investigation or court duties she was always there to help or refer to someone who could. A sweet lady with a calm demeanor. She represented everything that was good about the Police Department. God Bless her wonderful and caring life. Another guardian angel looking out for all of us. My condolences to the family.

To Maggie's family, I am so very, very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. I loved working with her at the Arvada Pd and even considered her my friend. She will never be forgotten and we'll all smile every time we think of her.
