I first met John when Sturgeon was still at 300 Vallejo St., an old building that had suffered the 1965 flood. The inside group was very small (C&I) at one time having only 13 electricians. John had a very unique sense of humor and had the gift of making many friends.
John, I want to thank you again for a very memorable ride to the airport in Oregon. I made the gate with only seconds to spare. How he talked that officer out of a ticket he never said.
John, I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to call you, my friend.
