Joanne was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent her life in Furth, Germany; Lakewood, Colorado; Salt Lake City Utah; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She returned to Lakewood, Colorado to be close to her family prior to her passing.
Joanne was born in Cleveland, Ohio in September,1932 to Edna and Frank. She graduated in 1950 from Lincoln High School in Cleveland where she was lovingly known as “blondie”.
Joanne worked as an administrative professional in the mining industry in Colorado, and finished her career with the United States Post Office. Following retirement from USPS, she enjoyed spending time with her family members (including her 4-legged fur babies), gambling, attending the Iditorod in Alaska, reading, collecting, and studying the Native American and Jewish cultures.
Joanne is survived by her 4 children: James Zingelman, Laurie Hawkins (James), Linda Troute (Daryl), and Joyce Worley (Ronald); and 2 granddaughters, Lauren Bitz (Brent) and Kimberly Conway (William Berry).
