Obituary of Michael Nathan Whetstine

Michael Nathan Whetstine 

 Michael Nathan Whetstine (44), lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on April 21, 2022. He passed peacefully at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge Colorado. He was born February 14, 1978, the son of Mike Whetstine and the late Pamela Zele Moody. He was a deeply loved and adored husband, uncle, brother, son, and friend.

Michael was a lover of many things, chiefly his eight wonderful nephews, fishing, and camping with his wife. He was passionate about his career in hospitality as a Director of Engineering for over 14 years, and in the industry for over 20 years. He loved music, and knew every word of every song from the 70s, 80s and 90s. He was an exceptional travel companion, always had a joke to tell, and cared about his friends and family without measure.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alexandra “Ally” Whetstine; brother Caleb (Christina) Whetstine; nephews: Brayden & Dylan Whetstine, Neo & Cheyenne Howard, Axel, JJ, and Ethan Feagin, and Noah Hufford; father Mike Whetstine; Aunt Deb Boutchyard (Frenchie); Uncles Bart and Brett Zele, Mel (Becky) and Mark Whetstine (Connie), and Chance Christiansen. He was preceded in death by his mother Pamela Rose Zele Moody. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, 1 PM at the Vogt Auditorium at Mile High Church in Lakewood Colorado (9077 West Alameda Ave.). Family will receive loved ones and friends one half hour prior to the service.
