Bernice Trujillo (Miss Bea), aged 87, ascended to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 20th, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Brighton, Colorado. She was born on April 23, 1933 in Chacon, New Mexico and was one of 14 children. She was a devoted wife for over 70 years to Fred Trujillo and mother to 5 beautiful girls: Becki, Betty, Victoria, Lola, and Bonnie. Her legacy includes 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Miss Bea was a cosmetologist. Her life in cosmetology suited her well because of all the different people it brought into her life. She was able to serve, listen, encourage and mentor. In addition, she always wanted everyone to look their best.
Miss Bea’s faith and love for Jesus was a prominent part of her life. She loved to read her Bible and raised her 5 girls in the Catholic Church.
We, her family, will continue to be strong in our faith and continue to spread love and kindness just like she taught us until we see her again in heaven.
