Obituary of Vernon Lee Rominger
Vern L. Rominger
October 1, 1945 - February 27, 2020
Vern Rominger was born to Woodrow and Elaine Rominger and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from George Washington High School and Metro State College.
Vern served 4 years in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He followed his brothers in service of the country by joining the Navy where he proudly served from 1965 to 1969.
Vern's special gifts were a disarming sense of humor and a big heart. He rallied us with his quick wit, big smile, and loving nature. He cared deeply for his friends and family.
Vern was a flight attendant for United Airlines for 31 years. It was the perfect job for his personality. Vern made friends easily everywhere he went. He loved to golf, travel, watching the Broncos, and could talk to anyone.
Vern is survived and missed by Karen, his wife of almost 50 years, his daughter Alexis McCabe and son-in-law Frank McCabe, his granddaughter Haley McCabe, and grandson Colin McCabe. He is survived by his brother Guy Rominger (Mary), his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. His parents, brother Dennis, sister in law Sharon, and sister Margaret predeceased him.
A special thank you goes to Highline Place, the home where he spent the last year of his life. The loving care he received there was exceptional.
